Membership Dues Information
Thinking about membership at Dor Hadash?
We are excited that you are considering membership. We would love to have you as part of our community. Please feel free to email our Membership Committee Chairperson (membership@dorhadash.net) with any questions.
Our synagogue does not have a fixed membership dues structure. Instead, since 2022, we have used a system where each member chooses their own Community Dues Contribution. This allows us to meet our operating expenses in a way that is consistent with our community values.
We are an economically diverse community that prides itself of being inclusive and open to all. Money should never be a barrier to anyone who wants to be a part of our community. That's why every Dor Hadash member can make a Community Dues Contribution in an amount that is affordable for them, no questions asked. There is no need to ask for approval or a dues waiver. Contributions are set each year based on our budgetary needs. Members who pay at or above sustaining amounts generally offset those paying less. No one is denied Dor Hadash membership because of an inability to pay.
